What does Berean mean?

The name Berean comes from a passage of scripture in Acts 17.  Verse 11 says of the "Bereans":  These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. At Berean Baptist Church, we strive to pattern ourselves after these "Bereans" in Acts 17.

 Advance the Cause

"Advancing the Cause of Christ through the People of Christ" isn't just a catchy tag line at Berean Baptist Church.  It is the guiding principle behind everything we do here.  As a church, we are here to boldly propagate the cause of Christ.  The only way for us to accomplish this is through the people that God has led to be a part of this ministry.
